Reflexology treats the whole person, not just the disease
Reflexology Is a natural healing complimentary therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes, Reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and promotes the natural function of the related body area, balancing the Homeodynamics, (the body’s natural bio-rhythms). It has proven highly successful over time to relieve symptoms or ease pain or discomfort, that have manifested themselves physically in the body-either as a result of stress, trauma or disease.
Since Reflexology treats the whole person, not just the disease, every person benefit from a treatment, it is extremely relaxing and allows you to function at a better level, not only physically, but also on a mental level, and is suitable for men, women and children of all ages.
What happens when you have a treatment?
On your first session there is a preliminary talk with the practitioner. The Reflexologist then begins to work on your feet, noting problem areas, there may be some discomfort in some places but it is fleeting and is an indication of congestion or imbalance in a corresponding part of the body. For most part the sensation is pleasant and soothing.
Usually a treatment lasts between 40 minutes to 1 hour. A course of treatments vary depending on your body’s needs. After your first treatment or two your body may respond in a very definite way; you may have a feeling of well-being and relaxation; or you may feel lethargic, nauseous or tearful, but this is transitory. It is however vital information for your Reflexologist, as it shows how your body is responding to treatment.
A sense of well-being, better general health and higher energy levels are achieved after only a few treatments.
